The poll, conducted by the New York Times/Sienna College, shows incumbent GOP Senators in each of the three states at risk of losing in the November 3 election. In Arizona, Democratic Senate candidate Mark Kelly currently leads Republican candidate Martha McSally by eight points. According to the poll, 50 percent of respondents said they’d vote for Kelly if the election were held today, while 42 percent sided with McSally....

The Danes have garnered the maximum points from eight matches and, rather staggeringly, have scored 27 goals but are yet to concede. The 20-year-old was among 10 people killed when a gunman opened fire at the King Soopers on Table Mesa Drive on Monday afternoon. Stong had been working at the store since 2018, according to his Facebook profile. But he was off the clock when the shooting began, his friend Logan Smith, a barista at King Soopers, told Newsweek. Smith, 20, said he and Stong had been talking when the gunfire erupted, but ended up running in different directions....

Arguably the biggest story in boxing this year has been the contentious negotiations between unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and WBC champ Deontay Wilder. Both sides have blamed one other for the fight not happening and have gone their separate ways for the time being. Joshua (21-0, 20 KOs) will defend his IBF, WBA and WBO belts on Sept. 22, when he takes on former titlist Alexander Povetkin, while Wilder is rumored to be on the verge of facing former unified and current lineal champion Tyson Fury (26-0, 19 KOs) in December....

According to the Kansas City Star, the veteran linebacker will sign a one-day deal with Kansas City so he can finish his career with the team that picked him in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft. All-Pro safety Derwin James is set to miss at least three months after undergoing surgery on his broken right foot, NFL Media reported Saturday. The team said James broke the fifth metatarsal in his right foot. Chargers beat writers noted earlier Friday that James was wearing a walking boot. Losing the 23-year-old for an extended period would be a significant blow to the Los Angeles defense, though if his recovery goes well he could rejoin the team for the playoffs....

The Monday night debate was hotly contested between the two candidates, with Crist continuously accusing DeSantis of wanting to divide Florida on polarizing policies while DeSantis conflated Crist with Biden-era policies that he said have contributed to record-high inflation rates. DeSantis currently holds a lead over his opponent by 8.1 points, according to FiveThirtyEight, making Monday’s debate essential to Crist’s chances of being the governor with only two weeks left until midterm voting on November 8....

After word came down last week that Watson would not be indicted by a grand jury – thus removing concerns of a criminal case impeding his ability to play – several teams jumped into the fray to make offers to the Texans for Watson.
